Aerial Observation of Oil Training

NOAA will be holding a 1-day aerial observation class on August 11th at EPA ERT in Erlanger, Kentucky. Topics will include: Open Water Identification, False Positives, Aircraft Safety, Data Collection, and Overflight Maps and Modeling. Red Wing CAER River Response Training

This one day class, being held twice on June 21 and June 22, is designed to acquaint the student in the safe and effective way to respond to a water borne oil spill. Students will begin the day in the classroom to further understand safety and tactics, with the rest of the day consisting of “hands-on” on the water and shore training. Experienced instructors will provide guidance and demonstrations to facilitate the learning process. $100 per person, includes lunch.
