As part of a cooperative effort to improve planning, preparedness, and response capabilities for an incident involving the transportation of crude oil and other flammable liquids by rail, a free one-day Transportation Rail Incident Preparedness and Response (TRIPR) training class will be held in St. Charles, Missouri. The goal of this session is to provide guidance and resources to better prepare first responders for High-Hazard Flammable Train (HHFT) incidents, expand awareness of risk-based response concepts, and share lessons learned from previous HHFT incidents by leveraging the expertise of public safety agencies, rail carriers, and industry subject matter experts.
